ANNUAL WORKSHOP AND AGM,THURSDAY 9th FEBRUARY 2006

Interior of the Bar Convent, YorkOur Annual Workshop and AGM took place on 9th February 2006 in the fantastic setting of The Bar Convent in York. Its lovely interiors were the perfect place to offer our three training sessions, a choice of "Events and Ideas at a Moment's Notice", "Basic Cat & Class", and "Stock Selection and the Library Budget".

Borders Books, YorkFollowing a delicious buffet provided by The Bar Convent we made our way through the pretty streets of York down to Borders Books for our evening event. Store staff Simon and Jess, and Tony Smith, Business & Academic Development Manager for Borders UK, had gone to tremendous effort for us, putting on a talk from local author James David as well as wine and nibbles and a chance to shop, taking advantage of the 15% discount offered to all SLA members (see our BORDERS Offer page for further details).
